Akron City FC Teams Up with Walsh University to Enhance Player Development and Experience

Akron, Ohio – [Date], 2024 – Akron City FC, Akron’s minor league soccer team, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Walsh University, aimed at elevating player development and fostering a professional environment for its athletes.
Under this innovative collaboration, Walsh University will provide exclusive housing accommodations for Akron City FC players throughout the 2024 summer National Premier Soccer League season. Additionally, players will have full access to Walsh University's top-tier facilities, including their state-of-the-art weight room. The team will also hold its early season training session’s on Walsh’s soccer field, before moving training to it’s home field at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. This partnership underscores Akron City FC's continued commitment to offering its players the resources necessary for success, both on and off the field.

Akron City FC is a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the only league designated by the USASA as a Tier 1 national league. The team will kick off its third season in May 2024 with home games being played on the campus of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
